SMILE
It's a new month and you have another reason to smile again don't you?
Well if you think you don't then I'll give you another reason to smile again. Last night when I was reading one of my most inspiring books I came across a quote that I had read previously and highlighted in yellow. As I skimmed through the words, I tried to remember why I had marked it earlier but instead of remembering what was special about the words when I first read them, I was inspired afresh.
"Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever" (Genesis 13:14 -15). From these simple words, I'll give you three straight forward Go-dos that you can leverage to change your life and find your smile again in October.
Lift up your eyes from where you are...I'm interpreting this to mean; Shut out the noise! It's amazing how much you take in every day; how much discouraging words, how much negativity and doubt. The first thing I'll ask of you is simple; take your eyes off where you are. Can you get your mind out of the rut? Can you ignore the troubles of today? Can you forget your worries for a moment and listen to the next instruction?
Look north and south, east and west... this means: Dream again, dream beyond your reach. Once you can get your focus off the worries of today, replace it with dream for a better tomorrow, a God given dream. What do you want your life to be? Where would you like to be by this time next year? Remember those desires and hopes you gave up on because they looked impossible? It's time to revive them. This time go wild! Take a trip down the lane of impossibilities and dare to dream one more time.
All the land that you see I will give to you.... This is my favorite part of all: If you can see it and believe it, I will give it to you and your children forever. Wow! That's God's promise to us. All I'm trying to say is if you can just get your mind off the troubles of today long enough to dream about what you would want your life to be...if you can take that dream and believe in it, believe in God to make it happen, he will.
It's time to smile again...dream it, believe it and watch it happen for you in October.
